Description: Medium size, evergreen tree with grey, rough and hard looking bark. Branches are drooping giving the tree its characteristic profile.Bright shining simple leaf, arranged alternate and superposed, in a same plane.Bright, shiny leaf with serrated, wavy margin.One to three female flower appear in leaf axil while male flowers appear in cluster.Flowers are dioecious - male and female flowers appear on different trees. Flowers are small and unattractive.Since male and female flowers appear on different trees, both trees should be in same area for female tree to bare fruits. Fruit is ellipsoid, pointed and very hard. It takes whole year for the fruit to mature.Single white seed in every fruit.
